Arts for Healing (AFH), co-founded by Karen Nisenson and Josephine Mason in 2000, is a not-for-profit corporation that is dedicated to providing creative arts therapy services and programs for people with special needs in Fairfield County, Connecticut and its surrounding communities. Through the practice of therapy in music and art, complementary arts programs and outreach programs, we aim to reach the area’s most isolated individuals and their families.

As a unique community-based center, our goal is to continue to integrate experiences in the arts into the lives of our clients, to promote their development, enrichment, and well-being, to provide a resource center for their families, and to establish AFH as a model for centers around the country.
