We are excited about introducing Donald Martocchio, a Bear Stearns executive by day and an amazing cabaret singer by night, for selective special occasions. He will perform at Longshore in Westport, on Friday evening, Oct. 20,2006 where we will hold our annual gala. Amanda and Donald Martocchio are the parents of Julia, a wonderful and talented child who comes to Arts for Healing to experience music as her favorite form of self-expression. This year’s gala event will take place right here in our community of Fairfield County. We are fortunate to have Kristin Eveland and Taylor Ullman both of New Canaan as our dinner co-chairs. Proceeds from this spectacular gala event will benefit Arts for Healing as we continue to expand our programs and reach out to those individuals with special needs and their families in our community. We welcome volunteers who would like to be a part of planning this exciting event and those interested in helping with fundraising.

On November 8, 2005 at the Pierre Hotel in New York City, New Canaan-based Arts for Healing and the Children’s Health Environmental Coalition of Los Angeles (CHEC) joined together to host the second annual One World, One Child event to further a healthier future for children. This year’s honorary chairman was Meryl Streep, two-time Oscar winning actress and mother of four. The gala, which included a reception, dinner and auction, was attended by several hundred people from across the country.
